Children's Literature - Children's Literature

The young artist, Molly, wanders around an empty art gallery, looking for inspiration. She magically steps into fourteen pieces of art by artists famous and not so famous. About half of the artworks featured are photographic reproduction and the rest are the illustrator's version of the art. Copyright might have played a big part in the decision to use an illustrator's impression of some of the artwork but it seemed to weaken the impact of the book. Also, as every alert young reader will discover, there is a element missing in the illustrations that is written into the text. On nearly every page, the text mentions a "click-click" sound that Molly's shoes make as she walks through the museum. However, in every illustration, Molly has bare feet!
