Synopsis

Western mountain animals in their habitats help teach youngsters how to count to ten and back. Ages 2-6.

Children's Literature

A brief rhyming text, combined with bright watercolors, invite the young child to, "tiptoe softly, count with me...," through a mountain meadow habitat. Many animals of this environment are featured, including tawny martens, pink sheep moths and steel eagles. This counting book is slightly different from most, in that we count up to ten, and then go back down to one again.
