Multimedia and the Web: Creating Digital Excitement

This text focuses on the how multimedia is created and used in a Web-based environment, showing the most current technologies and ideas in Web-based multimedia development. Through projects, students will get to conceptualize and plan all aspects of a multimedia Web site.

This title provides an understanding of the underlying concepts of Web-based multimedia, while illustrating the very latest in multimedia technology and techniques.

Dr. Calleen Coorough is an author and educator, teaching computers, technology, software, and multimedia courses. She is currently the Chair of the Multimedia & Interactive Technology Department at Skagit Valley College in Mount Vernon, WA. She has written several multimedia textbooks and has developed a number of supplemental materials.

Jim Shuman is a Faculty Emeritus at Bellevue College, where he taught Flash and Web Development courses. His industry experience includes Web site and application development using Flash as well as managing a team of multimedia developers and Web specialists to develop interactive courseware. He has written several textbooks on these subjects.
