Overview

Murder and Misunderstanding depicts the secret reality of paranoid schizophrenia through the eyes of one young man determined to survive and beat the odds. The only son of hard-working immigrants, Shubi was the quintessential All-American suburban kid. Born in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, hard work was the family creed. While his classmates were going out to drink and party on the weekends he was at his father’s store working. Shubi’s strained relationship with his dad ultimately set in motion a chain of events which became the genesis of a downward spiral into madness, murder... and misunderstanding.

About the Author, Shubi S.

Shubi, for the first time, publicly reveals the story of his mental illness from a first-hand perspective, and how someone who has everything can go from “normal” to being a homicidal menace to society. In real-time fashion, he shares his journey through the dark underbelly of the penal system, New Age-ism, and of the country’s extremely powerful mental hospitals and institutions. But more importantly, he shows how he faced and overcame the darkness within himself.

Shubi S. currently resides in Pennsylvania. He attends school part-time, and in addition to being a new author he travels and gives speeches on schizophrenia. Presently he partners with a local organization training people on how to deal with mental illness. With some of the proceeds from this book Shubi is also launching a charity dedicated to providing therapy dogs for mentally ill people.
