Millard, a regular contributor to Country Music magazine, combines his love for country music and his home state of Tennessee to produce a useful travel guide for all visitors to the state. In addition to the first section, which covers Nashville and the middle of the state, there are sections outlining the highlights of the eastern and western parts. While Millard keeps the emphasis on the musical activities, all three sections feature a calendar of annual special events and information on camping and other outdoor recreation. The format of the guide is similar to that of the Mobil Travel Guides: Mobil's Travel Guide to the Southeast , which includes Tennessee, might be a better choice for specifics on lodgings. Not surprisingly, the most detailed information on restaurants and accommodations is found in Millard's section on Nashville and environs. This guide should be particularly popular with music fans.
