Lifting the Velcro snap reveals a board book that contains removable pieces. The young girl featured enjoys playing doctor with her toys. She can remove a tube of cream to put it on her teddy bear's scrape, and Dolly get something for her headache. Bunny gets a bandage for his knee because he has taken a tumble. All three are tucked into bed with a hot-water-bottle to help them keep warm (although I have not seen many hot water bottles these days with all the gel packs available). The biggest drawback is the potential loss of the play pieces, which are not depicted on the page once removed. It will diminish rereading the book when they are gone.
