Overview

First Lady Audrey Graham adores her daughter's best friend, Rena Jackson. In Rena, Audrey finds the loving relationship she longs to have with her own troubled daughter, Francesca. When Audrey's son, Stiles, comes home from Duke Divinity School, Audrey is overjoyed because he has decided to follow in his father's footsteps in the church. Upon his return, Stiles finds Rena all grown up and quickly takes notice. It doesn't take long for the two of them to fall in love, but Rena's fairy tale life is disrupted when her old flame, Frankie, learns about the relationship. In this explosive novel, the old adage about what's done in the dark turns out to be more true than anyone can imagine.

I really enjoyed this book. I do think that the mother was too involved in her son's life and that helped with the demise of the marriage because the daughter in law couldn't live up to her mother in law's demands. I also think that if Rena had communicated with Stiles and told him about her life before she married him they could have worked it out. It goes to show you that what's done in the dark does indeed come to light.

I loved it. I love the quotes that come at the beginning of each chapter. It was really a page turner. It had so many twist and turns I didn't know where to look. You did it again just like with "Beatiful Ugly".

I loved this book. But i thought things should have worked out differently for rena and stiles.Plus frankie ended up going through way too much! How much could one person endure??

This is a good book. I disagree with some of the decisions made after situations were revealed but I also know that people deal with these issues on a daily basis and until you are faced with it, you don't know what you would do. I must say it's "TIME-OUT" for the church goers who leave Christ at the church when they leave instead of keeping him with them. GET THE BOOK!!!
