Overview

National Lampoon celebrates the 25th anniversary of its seminal film National Lampoon's Vacation by finally providing all the destinations that the Griswald clan would have/should have/might have visited.  To some, the β€œthe road less traveled” is an inconvenience: a pathetic, pot holed, meandering path to oblivion, only reserved for losers who can't afford a $2000 navigation system.  But to National Lampoon, it's pure comedy gold.  Sit back and let National Lampoon do the driving as we take you on a journey filled with oddities, ironies, and downright insanities.

Editorials

From Barnes & Noble

National Lampoon put zaniness on the map with its cross-country road-trip cinematic extravaganza, National Lampoon's Vacation. Although this Chevy Chase classic doesn't present travel in the most favorable light, the impresarios at NL have decided to mark its 25th anniversary with a "road best left untraveled" guide to America's throbbing heartland. National Lampoon Road Trip USA introduces readers to real places that deserve to be noticed, if not visited. Consider, for example, the statue exhibit at Yorba Linda, California's Richard Nixon Library, where all the "life-size" bronze images of world leaders are vertically challenged, except, surprisingly, the one of R.N. himself.
