Booknews

New edition of a text expanded to include information on changes in data, broadband, and multimedia networks since the release of the first edition in 1990. Topics include the fundamentals of telecom networks, ISDN networks, LANs and other modern data networks, B-ISDN networks, and asynchronous transfer mode. Also included is information on all aspects of setting up and running a network, from routing and interworking to traffic control and charging for use, as well as legal and business issues such as network regulation and deregulation, corporate networks, and service provider issues. References to outdated technologies have not been revised away because readers could still come across them. Appends an acronym-expanding glossary and a list of ISO two-letter country codes.
