She is the author of 52 Weekends in Connecticut, New Jersey: An Explorer’s Guide, and cycling guides to Connecticut, New Hampshire, and western Massachusetts in Countryman’s Backroad Bicycling series. Her work has also appeared in Yankee Magazine, Bark magazine, and Best Places to Stay in New England. She lives in Connecticut’s Litchfield Hills region.

Mitch Kaplan is a lifelong New Jersey resident and the author of 52 Weekends in New Jersey and New Jersey: An Explorer's Guide, as well as other travel guides and hundreds of articles in newspapers and magazines on travel, skiing, and golf.
