Overview

Raise money for your nonprofit without violating state and federal laws!

Your nonprofit needs financial support, which means that you're most likely dependent on the kindness of donors to fill your coffers. If your nonprofit solicits funds from donors, it's essential to file state charitable solicitation registration filings and to properly disclose these filings on IRS Form 990 so that your organization remains compliant.  Regardless of the method or origin of solicitation (by phone, letter, email, on the web, grant requests, or in any other manner), most states require registration if you are soliciting charitable donations from its residents.

Nonprofit Fundraising Registration is your 50-state guide to the complex and varied registration requirements you'll need to meet while fundraising for your nonprofit. Simplify the process of keeping your 501(c)(3) nonprofit in compliance when you're collecting cash by utilizing this user-friendly guide to learn about:

. initial and annual filing requirements in all states
. Internet fundraising rules
. strategies to reduce the number of registrations
. exemptions from registration
. other crucial information your organization needs to legally fundraise outside of your home state

You can't afford to overlook registration requirements β€” use Nonprofit Fundraising Registration, your plain-English guide, to keep your nonprofit compliant in the eyes of the IRS and state charity officials. Plus, get the background information you need and get a line-by-line tutorial for the Unified Registration Statement, contact information for each state, and instructions on filing requirements for each state.
