Purpose: The purpose is to offer nursing students a thorough, organized, and practical approach to content delivery and skill mastery. According to the author, the client is the focus of the book with a holistic perspective that encourages the nursing student to see each person with potential for health promotion and wellness, in addition to the needed focus on disease prevention and management across all levels of care. Case studies at the end of each chapter provide practical scenarios for application and synthesis of concepts. The worthy objectives are met by the author.
Audience: The audience consists of students enrolled in a program designed to educate registered nurses at either the associate or baccalaureate levels. The author is a credible authority.
Features: The book is divided into two major sections: foundations of nursing and nursing of human function.
