OLE is a set of applications protocols that enable one Windows application to use the services of another. There is an old joke that a camel is a horse designed by a committee. Written by Microsoft and a group of independent programming houses, this camel is very well written in some places and terrible in others. A good technical editor should have rewritten the whole thing. It will have to do, though, until someone writes a better book about OLE. Annotation c.
