About the Author, Graeme Harper

Graeme Harper is Professor of Creative Writing at Bangor University (UK). His creative works (most often as Brooke Biaz) include such novels and short story collections as Small Maps of the World (2005), Moon Dance (2007), and Camera Phone (2009), among many other works. He is Editor-in-Chief of New Writing: the International Journal for the Practice and Theory of Creative Writing. A Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, among other organisations, he was a founding member and Chair of the Higher Education Committee of the UK's National Association of Writers in Education (NAWE). His awards and grants include the National Book Council Award for New Writers (Australia) and the Premier's Fellowship, as well as awards and grants from such bodies as the Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC), European Commission, the Arts Council, NESTA and the British Academy.
