He is an ordinary member of the Italian Psychoanalytical Society and a full member of the International Psychoanalytical Association. He deals predominantly with the psychoanalysis of serious pathologies, the relationship between psychoanalysis and psychiatry, and the communication between psychoanalysis and other disciplines.
