About the Author, Ben Chang, Mark Scardina, Stefan Kiritzov

Ben Chang is a 12-year veteran at Oracle Corporation, where he heads the CORE and XML Development Group in the Server Technologies Division as Director. In addition to working on Oracle6 to Oracle9i releases, he served the longest tenure as Development Release Manager for Oracle 8.0, spanning five releases. He also served three years as Chair of the Oracle C Coding Standards Committee, has given XML presentations at a number of conferences on five continents, and is a W3C DOM Working Group Committee member. He previously worked at IBM Corp., Pacific Bell, Bellcore, and GE R&D. He holds an M.S. in Electrical Engineering (Computer Systems) from Stanford University and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from U.C. Berkeley.

Mark Scardina is Oracle's XML Evangelist for Server products. He is also the Group Product Manager for the CORE and XML Development Group, which is tasked with providing the XML infrastructure components used throughout the Oracle product stack, including the XML Developer's Kits. Mark represents Oracle on the W3C XSL Working Group. He has worked for Socket Communications and ACE Technologies and holds a B.S. in Information Systems Management from the University of San Francisco.

Stefan Kiritzov is a Development Manager in the CRM Technology &Architecture group at Oracle, and has 19 years' experience in developing system software. Before joining Oracle, he worked for AT&T, NCR, SHL Systemhouse, and ICT. He holds an M.S. and B.S. in Mathematics from Kliment Ohridsky University in Bulgaria.
