Madeline "Maddy" Sinclaire is about to have the summer of her life. She is almost seventeen; home alone for the summer in San Francisco while her parents rehab a vineyard in Napa; and she has the hottest boyfriend in the school. To kick off the perfect summer, she throws a wild party the night her parents leave town. But as fate would have it, her parents forget something and return home to find the house trashed and the party still going. Maddy's punishment is hard labor at the vineyard. She arrives sulking at a small cottage in the center of an old vineyard. Her parents have arranged for her to work with their business partner's son, David, to clean up and design what will be the wine tasting room. Napaand Davidwork their charm on Maddy. When her birthday arrives after almost two months away from the city, her boyfriend Brian is allowed to come to Napa for dinner. Maddy finds herself confused as her two worlds collide. She sees that she has changed drastically in a short amount of time and what she thought she wanted, does not seem to fit into her new life.
