Entertainment comes in all sizes, styles, and, of course, occasions. Trendsetter Carolyne Roehm knows that contemporary parties are no longer predictable paper hat and plastic whistle events. In A Passion for Parties, she showcases original themes, innovative decorating tips, gorgeous table settings and floral arrangements, and recipes for 40 different celebrations. Her galas are various: from a blowout Fourth of July dinner complete with fireworks to an intimate Valentine's Day. Literary types will enjoy her Dickens-themed Halloween, but children will probably prefer her Christmas cookie-decorating party. And don't forget the recipes, which include Baby Baby Ribs with Rhubarb Barbecue Sauce and luscious Mini Lemon Crepes Stuffed with Lobster.
