Pennsbury Manor

A brief biography of Pennsylvania's founder and first proprietor, William Penn, and a history of his "gentleman's estate" along the Delaware River, north of Philadelphia. Includes a tour of the reconstructed manor house, outbuildings, and grounds. Larry E. Tise is author of The American Counterrevolution (0-8117-0100-X). He has been executive director of several historical organizations, including the Pennsylvania Historical and Museum Commission and the Benjamin Franklin National Memorial of the Franklin Institute.

Dr. Larry E. Tise is an author and historian. Due to his unique research on the lives of the Wright brothers, he was appointed Wilbur and Orville Wright Distinguished Professor at East Carolina University in 2000, a post he continues to hold.  He is the author of more than 50 articles and books and the founder of World Aloft, an extensive website dedicated to the Wright Brothers. He lives in Philadelphia.
