You'll need more than just a great college grade point average to succeed in the workforce. Soft skills, critical thinking skills, and a strong work ethic are all necessary to achieve success in both all areas of life. Personal Development for Life and Work is designed to help you discover your potential and prepare for successful employment.

Synopsis

Personal Development for Life and Work is designed to help students recognize the importance of soft skills, critical thinking skills, and a strong work ethic in today's workplace. The text is divided into four parts: 1) It's all About You; 2) It's All About Communicating; 3) It's All About Working with Others; 4) It's All About Workplace Success. Chapters are arranged in short sections that include self-assessments, case studies, and activities that are appropriate for both business and personal situations. Cases good for both individual and team activities. I especially like the "Bookmark" section and am glad to see support activities on the website. The writing style in these revisions is very conversational and easy for students to read. β€” Pat Theriot

Good job taking a huge subject area and distilling it down to the basics. Students will appreciate the concise but thorough concept discussion. β€” Dorothy Dean
