Two Pull-Tab Surprise Books help readers with basic concepts: in Opposites , a ``neat'' worker becomes a ``sloppy'' one with the pull of a tabthe caption changes and the painter's clean uniform becomes splattered with paint. Similarly, a dinosaur's skin goes from ``smooth'' to ``bumpy'' with the pull of a tab. In Numbers , a specific number of items are pictured, but only when the tab is pulled does the label (and the number) become clear: readers can pull one rabbit out of a hat, or 10 genies out of 10 jars. These are brightly amusing, with humorous touches throughout. Ages 2-7. (September)Book Details
