Overview
Philadelphia Textures, 1993 is collection of documentary photographicimages, taken by a University of the Arts painting student in 1993. The
rolls of film that held these images were lost for ten years, and were
discovered by accident in the artist's studio. Meant to be references
for paintings, these images capture the urban decay of Philadelphia;
buildings, alleys and abandoned lots in a period just before the city's
renewal. Focusing almost entirely on architectural details and empty
spaces, the book is a true collection of urban textures and a
documentation of an earlier time.
