Phule's Errand

Phule is without a doubt the only captain in the Space Legion with his own butler, but Beeker has stuck with him through thick and thin. Which is why it’s incomprehensible to Phule why Beeker has run off-planet without a word—and with Omega Company’s lovely new medic.

Without his right-hand man, Phule has no idea what his left hand is doing. So he takes off after his errant butler, just as General Blitzkrieg decides to make a surprise visit to Zenobia. And the only thing Blitz would like better than catching Phule off guard is to catch Phule AWOL...

Phule feels lost without his right-hand man, so when his loyal butler, Beeker, disappears with Omega Company's comely new medic, our intrepid captain goes AWOL to bring him back. He sets out this nearly impossible mission just as the ever-devious General Blitzkrieg is plotting a surprise visit to Zenobia.

Robert (Lynn) Asprin was born in 1946. While he has written some stand alone novels such as Cold Cash War, Tambu, The Bug Wars and also the Duncan and Mallory Illustrated stories, Bob is best known for his series: The Myth Adventures of Aahz and Skeeve; the Phule novels; and, more recently, the Time Scout novels written with Linda Evans. He also edited the groundbreaking Thieves World anthologies with Lynn Abbey. His most recent collaboration is License Invoked written with Jody Lynn Nye. It is set in the French Quarter, New Orleans where he currently lives.

Peter J. Heck resides in Brooklyn, New York and is the author of Death on the Mississippi, another Twain mystery. His lifelong interest in Twain was sparked by his own uncanny resemblance to Samuel Clemens.
