Gr 5-8-This attractively illustrated and well-organized title has wonderful charts and sample graphs that accompany several of the projects. The activities fall into the categories of biological diversity of plants and animals, survival needs, behavioral and physiological responses, and adaptations. Notes include the amount of time a project will take, methodology for accurate data collection, safety precautions, etc. Line drawings also add clarity and appeal. A glossary and sources for materials are appended. A solid addition for collections that support annual science fairs.-Gail E.
