Stephanie has a way of attracting danger, lunatics, oddballs, bad luck…and mystery men. And no one is more mysterious than Diesel. He’s hot on the trail of a little man in green pants who’s lost a giant bag of money. Problem is, the money isn’t exactly lost. Stephanie’s Grandma Mazur has found it, and like any good Jersey senior citizen, she’s hightailed it in a Winnebago to Atlantic City and hit the slots. With Lula and Connie in tow, Stephanie attempts to bring Grandma home. But the luck of the Irish is rubbing off on everyone: Lula’s found a job modeling plus-size lingerie. Connie’s found a guy. Diesel’s found Stephanie. And Stephanie has found herself in over her head in this all-you-can-eat buffet of thrills, chills, shrimp cocktail, plus-size underwear, and scorching hot men.

In this tart and hilarious "between-the-numbers" Stephanie Plum novel from bestseller Evanovich (Twelve Sharp), the Jersey bond enforcement agent, who already has two guys in her life (cop Joe Morelli and bounty hunter Ranger), reconnects with Diesel, a third heartthrob. Diesel offers Stephanie a deal: if he lets her find Annie Hart, a relationship coach who's become a big-ticket bond on Stephanie's Most Wanted List after fleeing a charge for a robbery she didn't commit, then Stephanie can do Annie a big favor by playing Cupid for a number of Annie's lovelorn clients, including a shy butcher, a desperate vet, an overworked single mom, a 30-something virgin and the marriage-phobic fellow who just happens to be Stephanie's pregnant sister's boyfriend. Diesel and Stephanie's short but sweet adventure ends on a teasing note that will leave fans hungry for the next juicy Plum-a-thon. (Jan.) Copyright 2006 Reed Business Information.

In bestseller Evanovich's breezy third holiday novella (after Plum Lovin'), Stephanie Plum's kooky Grandma Mazur finds a duffle full of money on the street and hightails it to Atlantic City. When Stephanie learns that the money was stolen from Delvina, a notorious Trenton mobster, she and her friend Lula head off in pursuit. In Atlantic City, the Jersey bounty hunter discovers she's not the only one after Grandma after meeting Snuggy, an ex-jockey who originally stole the money and is convinced he's a leprechaun. With her on-again off-again boyfriend Morelli tied up with a murder case and the sexy Ranger otherwise occupied, Stephanie turns to the mysterious Diesel for help. As she tries to keep Grandma safe and fend off the advances of Diesel amid the slot machines and craps tables, Stephanie realizes she may be in over her head. With her trademark wit, cast of eccentric side characters and hilariously absurd plot twists, Evanovich treats her fans to a delightful miniadventure sure to whet their appetites for the next full-length Plum escapade. Kirkus Reviews

On a very special St. Patrick's Day, Stephanie Plum's grandmother, Grandma Mazur, sees a rainbow, finds a sack full of money-lots of money-and drags her granddaughter into another wild and wooly adventure. Ex-jockey Snuggy O'Conner, ne Zigmond Kulakowski, likes his former mount Douglas Iron Man III a lot. So when Doug develops a sore leg, and his owner plans to retire him from the stud farm to the glue factory, Snuggy bundles Doug into a horse trailer, drives off with him and hijacks $890,000 from Trenton mobster Lou Delvina's headquarters to finance Doug's vet bill. While Snuggy's giving Delvina's goons the slip, however, Grandma Mazur discovers the money. Convinced she has as much right to the swag as anyone else, she takes charge of it, buys herself a used RV and hires three-foot-tall computer geek Randy Briggs to drive her to Atlantic City, a town that really knows how to treat senior citizens. Lickety-split, Stephanie (Lean Mean Thirteen, 2007, etc.) and her no-nonsense colleague Diesel catch up with her grandma. So do Delvina and his troops, who take charge of both Grandma Mazur and Doug-you can't have too many hostages-and set the stage for a hundred more swaps, quips and pratfalls. The plot, much of it echoing the equally preposterous Motor Mouth (2006), is as familiar as the characters. But nobody reads Evanovich for plots or characters, and the frantic, anything-for-a-laugh jokes are brand new and nonstop.
