Synopsis

Pocoyo, Pato and Elly are building a tower and they’re all taking turns to add a block to the top. They want to make their tower really, really tall, but someone keeps making it topple over . . . Lift the flaps to find out who.

Children's Literature

This little paperback book of twenty-four pages is the creation of the same team that produces the Spanish television program about a little plastic boy named Pocoyo who is always dressed in blue from his head to his toes. The program and this book are both designed to entertain very young children with simple themes and a limited number of characters. In this book, Pocoyo and his friends Elle, the elephant, and a duck named Pato are trying to build a tower of blocks, but Elle sneezes and the tower falls down. Never mind, they can build it up again, only to have Elle sneeze once more and down it comes again. Elle doesn't mean to blow down the tower Pocoyo explains to Pato. She probably just has a little cold and should go to bed now to get some rest so she can play again soon. Pocoyo and Pato start building again, but when Pato sneezes and sends blocks flying they decide to play with the blocks another day. Reviewer: Eleanor Heldrich
