About the Author, Justin D. Edwards

JUSTIN D. EDWARDS is Professor of English at Bangor University, UK. He is the author of several books, including Postcolonial Literature, Understanding Jamaica Kincaid, Gothic Passages: Racial Ambiguity and the American Gothic, Gothic Canada: Reading the Spectre of a National Literature, Exotic Journeys: Exploring the Erotics of U.S. Travel Literature. He is also the co-editor of Other Routes: 1500 Years of African and Asian Travel Writing.

RUNE GRAULUND is a Carlsberg Postdoctoral Fellow and teaches at the Department of Arts and Cultural Studies and the Department of English, Germanic and Romance studies, University of Copenhagen, Denmark. He has formerly published on travel writing, postcolonial theory and contemporary American fiction and is currently preparing his first monograph, Drifting Horizons - Travel Writing, Nature Writing and the Idea of the Desert for publication.
