Overview
Describes the derivation of an electrical model for printed circuit boards (PCB), in the form of an equivalent circuit, which can be used in conjunction with circuit simulators to determine how the PCB affects the circuit's performance built on it. These techniques have also been applied to monolithic microwave integrated circuits and can be extended to model other structures. Includes examples which demonstrate the efficiency and accuracy of the method and its application to extremely complex layouts.Editorials

A comprehensive text on the derivation of an electrical model for printed circuit boards (PCBs), in the form of an equivalent circuit. Such a model can be used in conjunction with circuit simulators to determine how the PCB affects the performance of the circuit built on it. These techniques have also been applied to monolithic microwave integrated circuits (MMICs), and could be extended to model other structures (such as silicon ICs). Annotation c.
