Synopsis

Ministers Stevenson (Baptist) and Wright (Anglican) were inspired for this book when they both were teaching homiletics at Spurgeon's College in London. The explore a variety of ways in which the Christian doctrine of the atonement—God's act of becoming one with humanity in Christ—may be presented in preaching today. Some of the chapters are based on the Old Testament, but most on the Gospels and Pauline letters. T&T Clark is an imprint of Continuum. Annotation ©2006 Book News, Inc., Portland, OR
