Luis Gonzalo has seen a lot during his years as sheriff of Angustias in Puerto Rico. But it’s during a visit to the seaside town of Rincón that he faces his greatest - and most dangerous - challenge. Bodies of illegal immigrants from the Dominican Republic are washing ashore on the beach, victims of a tragic shipwreck. But when Gonzalo discovers evidence that the shipwreck was no accident, and that the ship’s captain was murdered, suddenly his life is threatened. And when he finds proof that the Puerto Rican police are involved, the heat gets even more intense. With no other law enforcement agency willing to help him, Gonzalo will have to work alone to find the truth-before he’s killed.
