Children's Literature

Have you ever seen a tiger at a zoo? Did you wonder how the zookeeper cared for the tiger? This book contains the answers to these questions, and many more interesting facts and details about tigers. This book is comfortable, yet educational. The layout in the book is fun, and designed to inspire young readers to learn more about the tigers. The colors in the book are bright and vivid, and the photographs are realistic and helpful in teaching about the growth of the tiger. This is a good science classroom book that poses issues about animals in the zoos as questions in the book, but the overall theme of the book is what happens from the birth of the tiger in the zoo until the tiger matures and grows. Many details about tigers in the wild and tigers in general are contained in the book. A small child will enjoy the animal pictures, and an older child will be able to do research on the tiger. 2003, Weigl Publishers Inc, Ages 8 to 12.
