Overview

A host of innovative ideas for eye-catching garden features—from a honeysuckle-covered porch to an herb-lined pathway—that make the most of a small space.

Projects for Small Gardens shows you how to make and decorate a wide variety of containers, from a scented window box to a painted galvanized washtub. It explains how to create raised flower and vegetable beds, a picket fence, a rose arch—and many other stone, brick, wood, or metal structures. Decorative planting projects include an herb topiary and a sweet pea obelisk, and ideas for the vegetable gardener range from chile peppers in pots to a strawberry bed.

56 superbly illustrated projects on fold-out pages with easy-to-follow instructions—specially devised by two inspired gardeners. With plenty of practical tips and wise advice on basic gardening techniques.
