Overview

Al Lee reveals the establishment of a fourth branch of our government that is not bound by the constitutional restrictions that the Founders built into the three branches they established. He traces back a century to explain how the groundwork was laid and then how it was done so that we can understand what we must do to correct the problem and how to do it.

Lee shows why we must reform Administrative Law or face the complete loss of our liberty--even if we succeed in electing constitutional conservative politicians.

People new to politics will understand this book perfectly; but even seasoned political activists will learn new things.

He describes exactly what we must do and how we can do it.

If you believe that government expansion threatens our freedom, you MUST read this book. It is a clear explanation of the problem and the solution, and a call to action.

NOTE: This book has been presented to a number of political candidates who are constitutional conservatives. There is a growing likelihood that one or more of them will present a bill in the US Congress early in 2013 promoting at least some, if not all, of the reforms described.

About the Author, Al Lee

My interest in US politics dates back to my time in the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. I realized then that something was changing in America. My first foray into political activism was doing a little volunteer work for Ronald Reagan's 1980 campaign. I was fortunate enough to attend his Inaugural Ball--a genuine thrill!

In the years that followed I involved myself as a volunteer and contributor to many political candidates and causes. I always tried to support those who stood by our Constitution. I also volunteered in missions to help victims of Communism in Central America. In 1993 I was one of about 85,000 at an event called "Dan's Bake Sale"--what a blast!

I used to believe that all we needed to do to save our liberty was to elect good people to office; but I have learned that that is no longer enough. We have a bigger problem that must be fixed--and, of course, we must also elect better people.

My business career involved nearly forty years as a problem solver. I did consulting to many giant companies to address problems they were unable to solve themselves. I learned that in order to fix a problem you must first identify the CAUSE. Most people simply attack the symptom endlessly. That will not succeed.

I applied that strategy to what I consider the largest problem we have in our government today and devised a plan to fix it. That is what my book "Pruning the Fourth Branch" is about.

“Al Lee exposes how huge our government is and how it came to be that size. He also reveals how it justifies acting beyond its rightful powers. Most importantly, though, Lee actually offers a solution to the problem”—William J. Murray, Chairman, Religious Freedom Coalition; President, Government is Not God PAC

book endorsement - Steve Stockman

“We have a problem in this country that is even bigger than Left versus Right or Liberal versus Conservative and almost nobody even recognizes it. Al Lee hits the nail directly on the head in this revealing book. And he shows how to fix it. Read this book!”—Steve Stockman, Member, US House of Representatives for TX-36. Co-sponsor of Balanced Budget Amendment Bill
