Overview

This practical text brings together a selection of the major research methods in use today for examining the psychotherapy session process, designed to help the post-graduate student undertake a research project. It introduces students to coding and discourse methods, to the key concepts underpinning the methods, and enables the student to evaluate the methods critically. The tensions between qualitative and quantitative approaches are addressed, and a case is made for an integrative approach to research, illustrated with practical examples.
