Synopsis

Target identification and other modern-day radar problems can't be solved by conventional radar technology — but they can be solved with the ground-breaking signal processing and analysis methods presented in this unique, expertly authored book.

The authors explain why conventional point-target resolution technology is ineffective in identifying man-made targets and why the analysis of complex images is radically different from that of an intensity image. They then present and illustrate (with nearly 400 figures and over 70 equations) the atypical processing algorithms needed for accurate analysis of complex images.

The result of 15 years' research, the theory and technology presented here have not been available previously, and provide essential information for all radar scientists and engineers who need to solve contemporary radar problems.
