About the Author, Schroeder

CHARLES C. SCHROEDER is vice-chancellor for student affairs and a member of the doctoral faculty in the Higher and Adult Education Department at the University of Missouri, Columbia. PHYLLIS MABLE is vice-president for student affairs at Longwood College. Since 1979, she has served as president of the Council for the Advancement of Standards in Higher Education.
