Building on skills acquired in the first year, this communicative intermediate program further refines students' linguistic proficiency within a culturally rich framework. Through the use of media, arts, entertainment, literature, and other stimulating topics, Reflejos engages and motivates students to read, write, listen to, and speak about issues that affect their daily lives.

Susan Mraz holds a BA in Spanish and Biology from Thiel College and an MA in Foreign Languages from West Virginia University. She is currently the Spanish coordinator at the University of Massachusetts, Boston. She has taught ESL, EFL, and all levels of Spanish language at a variety of institutions of higher education. Mraz has been in the publishing field for more than ten years.

Ana Beatriz Chiquito holds a C. Ph. in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Oslo, and a C. Magisterium in Social Sciences and Economy and a Pedagogical/Teacher Certificate from the University of Bergen, Norway. She currently teaches at MIT and the University of Bergen. She has taught ESL, all levels of Spanish language, courses in romance linguistics, and courses in Hispanic history and culture.
