About the Author, Alfred Zaehringer

Alfred Zaehringer is a former engineer for the Apollo and Saturn space programs and has worked extensively on rocket systems for high-profile aerospace programs such as Lockheed Martin and LTV Aerospace. He is a member of the National Space Society and the British Interplanetary Society. He lives in Troy, Michigan. Steve Whitfield is a veteran of the computer electronics and aerospace industries and currently works as a technical and science editor. He lives in Burlington, Ontario.
