Overview

A duke's son, Grayson Rhodes was a maverick who had left London's suffocating upper class world to earn his own fortune. So he seized the chance to work Abbie Westland's land... and from the moment he first saw Abbie, he was determined to use his arms to work the farm by day and to soothe her through the nights in his strong embrace. Abbie, with her fiery determination, was different from the fragile beauties he'd known at home. In her Grayson found an honest passion he'd never experienced before. But could their growing love survive the surprising reminder of her past that comes to haunt them?

Synopsis

When Grayson Rhodes leaves London's beau monde, he sets out to seek his fortune. Sure, he's the illegitimate son of a duke, but he needs to move on and make his way in the world. But did he expect to end up working Texas farmland for the widow Abbie Westland? She's nothing like the ladies from the society balls, and she has more mystery to her than any barefoot contessa. For her part, Abbie's convinced that this British dude is just a slacker circa the mid-1860s. Lorraine Heath rides the range with A Rogue in Texas , a delightful read from beginning to end.

About the Author, Lorraine Heath

Lorraine Heath wrote her first story at seven, and it involved a fisherman who fell in love with a mermaid. She has since moved on to writing about sexy cowboys and dashing English lords (and sometimes, cleverly, in the same book!). Publishers Weekly says she is a "master of her craft." She is, indeed, and along with being a New York Times and USA Today bestseller, she has won the RITA® Award, Romantic Times Reviewer's Choice Award, and a Career Achievement Award.
