Overview

Dr. Rhonda "Ronni" Magnus, a beautiful, ambitious and hard-nosed psychiatrist, is assigned to help a man with amnesia regain his memory. Because of the extraordinary healing powers "John Doe" demonstrates, many believe he is Jesus Christ returned as prophesied in the book of Revelation. Of course, Ronni doesn't buy that explanation at all-at first. In the beginning, she is convinced his amnesia is as false as the psychosomatic "healings" with which people have credited him, and that the fervor of those who seek his attention is nothing more than mass hysteria. However, it's not long before her rigid and strictly scientific worldview is shattered, as she helplessly grows closer to her patient. Before John can either accept or deny the possibility that he is the reincarnated Savior, he needs to know his identity. He also struggles with his growing love for Ronni because it defies his increasing certainty about his destiny. Together, he and Ronni face an even bigger challenge: A wealthy, powerful and resourceful televangelist, Reverend Ethan Stone, believes John poses a real threat to his church. Stone will stop at nothing-including murder-to end that threat.

About the Author, Charles Kent

Charles Kent wrote sporadically throughout his teens and as a young man living on his own, but he didn’t really “discover” his passion for writing until he had spent several fruitless years chasing after “legitimate” career and business ventures. Charles was raised the son of a minister until the age of eight, when his father gave up the ministry and encouraged him to seek alternate sources of knowledge, wisdom, and inspiration when he was ready. After exploring many different avenues of spiritual enlightenment, he became clear about his life’s purpose, which is teaching others about the infinite power of love through the medium of story. Charles lives a quiet life in Central Texas with his enduringly patient wife of twenty years, Robin, and two excessively grateful mutts rescued from shelters, and he enjoys the love of his loyal and equally patient friends.
