Overview

Samuel Adams was born in Boston, Massachusetts, and became interested in politics at a young age. There were times when Samuel could think of nothing else but pursuing the cause of liberty. He had little time to work and didn't have much skill with business or money. But when it came to listening to people and spreading his ideas of freedom, Samuel had plenty of talent and energy. Whether he was writing newspaper articles or meeting with the Sons of Liberty, Samuel's message was always the same -- America must gain its freedom from Great Britain and become an independent country. Read about Samuel's long and active political career as he served both the country and Massachusetts before, during, and after the American Revolution.
