Gr 3-6In his attempt to emphasize the overwhelming worldwide danger to the survival of the whales, Bright describes the techniques used in hunting and kill ing whales and processing them into oil and edible meat. The text is illustrated with color photographs of such graphic scenes of killing and slaughter as a coastal sea running red with the blood of slaughtered whales and a boy playing with a bloody whale fetus. The ethical issues of the right to exhibit sea mam mals in aquariums and marine circuses and to train them to assist the military are raised.
