SBI: Advanced Word Processing Simulation (with CD-ROM)

SBI is an advanced word processing simulation designed to reinforce word processing skills using documents such as letters, memos, reports, tables, programs, and newsletters as well as composition, critical thinking, and decision-making skills. There are also extended levels of applications that include most of the commonly used Word expert competencies.

In this book/CD-ROM package for students in word processing and business applications courses, Ambrose (business, Tidewater Community College) and Jones (academic affairs, Norfolk State University) present an advanced word processing simulation designed to reinforce skills in word processing as well as composing, critical thinking, and decision making. Students will take on the role of office specialist at a business advocacy organization, and will receive limited directions for completing documents and assisting with preparations for an annual conference. Ann Ambrose is Dean of Business, Public Services & Technologies at Tide Water Community College in Portsmouth, Virginia. Her previous positions at the school include: Professor of Business, Director of Continuing Education, and Academic Division Chair of Business, Mathematics, Natural Science and Nursing. In addition, she has authored various publications on computer applications, including IC3 BASICS: Internet and Computing Core Certification. Ann holds a Master of Science degree in Vocational Education/Administration from Virginia Tech.
