Synopsis

SCAI (Scandinavian Conference on Artificial Intelligence) is a conference series that was started in 1987 in Tromso, Norway. It has since then been held in Stockholm, Sweden, Tampere, Finland, and \AA rhus, Denmark. Although its primary function is to assemble researchers from the Nordic countries, it has constantly attracted a rather international participation. The motto of the meeting this year was ``Theory meets Practice''.
