Synopsis

The Pforzheim Jewelry Museum , located in Germany, at the edge of the Black Forest, reopened in March 2006 following extensive remodeling. It is the only museum in the world dedicated exclusively to jewelry. The collection ranges from Greek, Etruscan and Roman jewelry through the Renaissance, Baroque, Jugendstil/Art Nouveau and Art Deco. There is also a unique collection of modern art jewelry from the past fifty years. The extensive Pforzheim Museum collection of rings from antiquity to the present is particularly important.
