Overview

In this book a hundred and eighty-four churches still used for worship are illustrated with line drawings and photographs, with pithy texts drawing out where they fit into the fabric of Scotland and into nearly a thousand years of church construction. Some are well-known and widely loved: others will surprise and delight.

Synopsis

This book includes line drawings and photographs of more than a hundred and fifty churches still used for worship. Hume also explores how these churches fit into the fabric of Scottish history.
