About the Author, Dvora Waysman

Dvora Waysman was born Dorothy Opas in Melbourne, Australia. She made aliyah with her husband, Zvi, and their four children in 1971 to Israel. She now has 18 Israeli grandchildren.

Today, Dvora makes her home in Jerusalem where she is widely known as a teacher of creative writing. A freelance journalist syndicated worldwide, Dvora is the author of ten books.

In 1981, she was awarded the β€œFor Jerusalem” citation by Mayor Teddy Kollek for her fiction, poetry and features about the city, and in 1988 she received the Seeff Award for Best Foreign Correspondent from the Society for Justice, Ethics and Morals in Journalism.

Dvora has also served as the Press Officer of the Shaare Zedek Medical Center in Jerusalem.
