Synopsis

Inspired by love and a daily devotion to God, Rebecca Thomas’s verses offer messages of joy and hope. Having found a passion for writing and God at a young age, she shares her enthusiasm in the hopes that those who know him may know and love him more fully and will feel the drive to share Jesus with everyone.
Shadows in the Shade presents a collection of poems with themes of love, nature, and humor; it includes poetic first-person accounts close to Rebecca’s heart that seek to promote the understanding of Christ and to help open hearts to him.
In the poem, “Morning Prayer,” Rebecca shares the central theme of this collection:

If I can show Jesus to one lonely soul,
Dear Lord, let me do it as my daily goal.
To rescue a lost and lonely soul
And know he won’t enter the gates of Sheol.
This is my wish, Lord, and may it yet be
That I shall bring someone closer to thee.
Closer to thee, Lord, o let it be,
That I shall bring someone closer to thee.

Share the joy and camaraderie in these beautiful and deeply moving verses, and in doing find encouragement in your walk with Christ.
