If you are familiar with Sheep in a Jeep or any of the other titles about Shaw's creatures, you know that you are in for a few laughs. These sheep just seem to be drawn to trouble. It is Halloween and that offers some great opportunities for even more craziness. "Spiders give a dried-up fly. / Sheep decide to pass it by./ Sheep stop by the chicken coop. / Chickens give them fresh eggs. Oops!" These six sheep all dressed up in Halloween costumes have a chance to turn the tables on a pack of wolves (some of whom are in sheep's clothing, but that joke might just fly over the heads of the really young audience). However, the party back in their comfy shed is one that all can enjoy. 2005 (orig. 1997), Houghton, Ages 2 to 5.—Marilyn Courtot
