Overview

Who knew that getting in trouble could be so much fun?

Maya has always been the good girl. Camden is the popular jock with a bigger ego than brain. Maya never thought there'd be a reason for them to, like, interact. But when the biggest mistake of her life lands her in need of a seriously devious plan, she discovers Camden isn't as dumb as he looks. And now that Maya's playing the bad girl (lying, cheating, swindling, and, um, shopping), she might as well do it right and flirt with the bad boy. . . .

Children's Literature - Allison Fetters

Maya, an intelligent, hard-working, Stanford-bound senior, keeps her nose to the grindstone and her parents proud. While tutoring Camden King, a popular student who allows his social life to take priority over his studies, Maya is faced with an unethical proposal. Maya adamantly refuses at first but then must reconsider due to a series of unfortunate events that could cause her family to lose their restaurant and guarantee her a return trip to Thailand (not her idea of a promising future). As a result of Maya's decision, she finds herself suddenly being accepted in the popular crowd and begins to take on more of a bad girl persona as a result. Though she tries to avoid becoming involved with Camden at first, Maya finds herself falling head over heels for him and his bad boy ways. When the deception spirals out of control and Maya is faced with the possibility of losing all of her friends as well as all chances to achieve her dreams, she must make a decision of what to do. This book presents life lessons in an entertaining and enjoyable manner. Reviewer: Allison Fetters
